Salon Asylum was built on one belief: beauty and hospitality go hand in hand. We're not your typical salon, and we want to change the way the beauty industry sees itself, not to mention how you see it. This doesn't mean perfection, but it does mean excellence in all we do. We're a restful, elevated experience from the moment you walk in, inspired by the kind of care you'd find at a five star hotel or Michelin starred restaurant. Every detail, from your greeting to your goodbye, is designed to help you feel like yourself again. We're grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in your day.

"Asylum" means a place of refuge, safety, and rest; SANCTUARY. Sanctuary is our key word for our spaces. We believe, through faith, God has told us this was a sanctuary for people. So that's exactly what we set out to create. A space away from the noise of everyday life, where you're loved, cared for, and can feel completely at ease. With an approachable culture and a warm invitation to anyone interested, it's the same spirit behind our tagline, The Art of Refuge. Truth be told, we love the dichotomy of what people visualize when they hear the word "asylum," and then experience our spaces.

The prices on our services page reflect starting rates. Every head of hair is different, so your exact price depends on things like length, density, and the look you're after. Each stylist's pricing has been built through value, goal setting, and demand. We'll always walk you through pricing during your consultation, so there are no surprises at checkout.

Life happens, and we understand. We just ask for at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer your spot to another guest. You can reschedule anytime by giving us a call or reaching out through our contact page. Please note: we do charge a cancellation fee. We will also encourage a nonrefundable deposit prior to booking if cancellations ever become habitual. We know things like this aren't the fun stuff, but please know we care deeply for you (and our guests), and will always handle it graciously without judgment.

Come as you are. Every new guest starts with a thorough consultation, so your stylist can get to know your hair, your goals, and how you like to be cared for before any scissors or color come out. Our goal is to get you to your goal.

Absolutely. If you already have someone in mind, just let us know when booking. If you're new and not sure who's the best fit, we're happy to help match you with the right artist for your hair and style.

Some services may require a deposit to hold your appointment, which goes toward the cost of your service. Your stylist or our team will let you know at the time of booking.

Our Apprentice Program is a disciplined "Masters" program that uses a hands on approach for new stylists to grow their craft. Although these stylists are "new" to our salon, some stylists in the apprentice program are seasoned stylists learning our foundations to expert level service training. Apprentices train under the mentorship of our experienced team, combining structured education with real, guided client experience, so they're ready to deliver the same standard of care as the rest of our team. As mentioned above, think of this as the Masters program to their already completed bachelor's degree. Each stylist that completes our apprentice program earns a certificate of hospitality and service. Every apprentice is a licensed stylist committed to their craft and career.

As our stylists grow with us, they move through levels that reflect their experience, training, and expertise. It's our way of making sure you always know what to expect, no matter who you're sitting with, while giving our team room to grow.

We only bring in product lines we would use ourselves. Oribe and Kérastase are two of the most trusted names in the industry. They are known for their quality, innovation, and results across every hair type. When you leave with product from us, you're leaving with something worth the investment. Kérastase is a prescription and treatment based line. They are known to create huge waves in the skin industry by treating the scalp (and hair), and is an ultra luxury line that changes the way your hair looks and feels from simple, daily use. Oribe is prescription oriented as well, and allows for urban styling with a high end finish. Each line is the best of the best, and that is truly the reason we want them in your hands!

Yes. Gift cards are available for any service or dollar amount, a beautiful way to share a little refuge with someone you love.

We know you love your stylist. To communicate with them, please use our main salon phone number. This keeps the relationship healthy. We will pass along any message to them, and they will respond through our business phone. We ask that you refrain from reaching out to them via Instagram or their personal phone numbers.
